Updated October 2026. Both labels and both prices were checked on 21 October 2026, on drinkag1.com/en-uk and vavaverve.com. We make V80, so the table comes first and our view comes after it.
Verve Transparent Greens V80 and AG1 are both daily all-in-one powders: vitamins, minerals, greens, mushrooms, adaptogens and live cultures in one scoop. The differences are on the label. V80 lists an amount for every one of its 80 ingredients and puts all 13 essential vitamins at 100% NRV in a 10g serving. AG1's UK label gives amounts for 20 vitamins and minerals and six other actives in a 13g serving, with no vitamin D or vitamin K, and lists its greens, fruits, mushrooms and herbs without amounts. AG1 has more live cultures (10 billion CFU across five strains against V80's 8 billion across two). On price, V80 is £75 one-off or £60 a month on subscription against AG1's £97 and £79.

Ingredients: what each label actually tells you
This is the biggest difference between the two, and it is a matter of record rather than opinion.
V80 has 80 ingredients and every one has a figure next to it, from vitamin C (80mg) to the two live culture strains (4 billion CFU each) to the botanicals. You can see the full table on the product page and compare any single ingredient against the research or against another product.
AG1's UK label gives amounts for its 20 vitamins and minerals and for six other actives: fibre (2.5g), alpha lipoic acid (42mg), CoQ10 (50mg), choline (20mg), inositol (100mg) and rutin (20mg), plus the five bacterial strains. Everything else, which is where the greens, fruit powders, mushrooms and adaptogens sit, appears in the ingredient list in descending order of weight with no amount. So you know AG1 contains spirulina, ashwagandha and reishi; you do not know how much of each you are getting.

Vitamins and minerals
V80 is built to deliver 100% of the NRV for all 13 essential vitamins in one serving, no more and no less: vitamins A, D3, E, K, C, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, folic acid and biotin. AG1 takes a different approach. Some vitamins are dosed well above the NRV (vitamin C at 420mg is 525%, vitamin B12 at 50μg is 2000%, biotin at 330μg is 660%, B6 at 5mg is 357%), while vitamin A sits at 31% and pantothenic acid at 83%. AG1 contains no vitamin D or vitamin K in the pouch; it sells Vitamin D3+K2 drops separately and includes a bottle with a first subscription order.
On minerals the two are closer. Both put zinc at 100% NRV. AG1 includes molybdenum (90%) and more selenium (40% against 20%); V80 includes potassium (300mg, 15%), which AG1 does not list. Neither contains iron or iodine.
Live cultures
AG1 has the edge here: 10 billion CFU across five named strains (Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, L. acidophilus NCFM, Bifidobacterium lactis HN019, L. casei LC-11 and L. plantarum LP-115) against V80's 8 billion across two (L. rhamnosus and B. bifidum, 4 billion each). AG1 states its CFU at the time of manufacture.
Price
| Verve V80 (28 sticks) | Verve V80 (30-serving pouch) | AG1 (30 servings) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| One-off | £75 (£2.68 a serving) | £75 (£2.50 a serving) | £97 (£3.23 a serving) |
| Monthly subscription | £60 (£2.14 a serving) | £60 (£2.00 a serving) | £79 (£2.63 a serving) |
| Quarterly subscription | £120 for three boxes (£1.43 a serving) | - | £199 for three pouches (£2.21 a serving) |
Like for like on a monthly subscription, V80 sticks are 19% cheaper per serving than AG1 and the pouch is 24% cheaper. AG1 includes a welcome kit, five travel packs and a bottle of D3+K2 drops with a first subscription order. Verve offers a 14-stick trial subscription at £30 if you want to start with two weeks rather than a month.
Where AG1 is ahead
Three things, stated plainly. AG1 has more live cultures and more strains. It carries Informed Sport and Cologne List certification, which matters if you are a drug-tested athlete; V80 is clinically tested and batch-tested for heavy metals but does not carry those two certifications. And AG1 has been on the market since 2010 with four placebo-controlled trials cited for earlier versions of its formula.
Where V80 is ahead
Every dose is on the label. All 13 vitamins are at 100% NRV, including vitamin D and K, which AG1 does not include. The serving is smaller (10g against 13g) for a fuller vitamin profile. It costs 19% to 24% less per serving on subscription. It is made in the UK and sold in Boots, Holland & Barrett and Amazon UK as well as direct, so you can buy a single box without a subscription.
Which one should you choose?
If you want to know exactly what you are taking, want your full set of vitamins covered in one scoop and would rather pay £60 than £79 a month, V80 is the one. If live culture count and Informed Sport certification are your priorities and price matters less, AG1 is the more established choice. If you are weighing up other brands as well, our AG1 alternatives UK comparison puts eight products side by side.

How we checked
AG1 figures are from the nutrition table and pricing on drinkag1.com/en-uk on 21 October 2026. V80 figures are from the label and product page on vavaverve.com on the same day. If AG1 changes its formula or prices, this page will be out of date until we next check it; the date at the top tells you when that was.
