Updated November 2026. Label facts checked on 5 and 6 November 2026 on each brand's own UK website. Verve makes one of the products below (Transparent Greens V80), so read the table before you read our view.
AG1, Huel Daily Greens and Verve Transparent Greens V80 are three all-in-one greens powders sold in the UK, and their labels differ in five ways. Disclosure: V80 gives an amount for 79 of its 80 ingredients, while AG1 and Huel give amounts for their vitamins, minerals and live cultures but not for their greens, fruit, mushrooms and herbs. Vitamins: V80 puts all 13 at 100% NRV, Huel lists 13 with nine at or above 100% (vitamin D at 920%), and AG1 lists 11 with no vitamin D or K. Live cultures: AG1 states 10 billion CFU, V80 8 billion and Huel 150 million. Serving size runs from 8.5g (Huel) to 13g (AG1), and only AG1 names a sport-testing programme. This article compares the labels only, and makes no claim beyond them.
The short answer
- All 13 vitamins at 100% NRV, an amount for 79 of 80 ingredients: Verve Transparent Greens V80, a 10g stick with vitamin D3 and vitamin K included and 8 billion CFU across two strains.
- Most live cultures stated: AG1, 10 billion CFU across five named strains in a 13g scoop.
- A named sport-testing programme: AG1. Its UK pages name the Cologne List with Informed Sport, or with Informed Choice, depending on the page.
- Longest ingredient list and highest vitamin D: Huel Daily Greens, 91 ingredients, with vitamin D2 and D3 at 46μg (920% RI).
- Iron and iodine in the scoop: Huel Daily Greens, the only one of the three with either: iron 4.5mg (32%), iodine 35μg (23%).
- Smallest serving: Huel Daily Greens at 8.5g, against 10g for V80 and 13g for AG1.
- A caffeine figure on the label: V80, 11mg a serving from guarana. AG1 and Huel give no figure; Huel lists green tea, green coffee bean and mate extracts.
AG1 vs Huel Daily Greens vs Verve V80: the comparison table

What the three labels say
All three come as 28 or 30 servings and all three say they are vegan. The split is in disclosure and dosing. V80 sets every vitamin at 100% NRV and gives an amount for its botanicals and a ratio for most extracts. AG1 and Huel go well above 100% on some vitamins (AG1's B12 at 2000%, Huel's vitamin D at 920%) and well below it on others (AG1's vitamin A at 31%, Huel's biotin at 15%), and neither gives amounts for its greens or herbs. Huel is the only one with iron and iodine. Live culture counts differ by more than 60 times, from Huel's 150 million to AG1's 10 billion. Huel and V80 both contain caffeine-bearing ingredients; only V80 prints the figure. None of the three labels is for pregnancy. Only AG1 names a sport-testing programme you can look up.
The products in detail
AG1
A 13g scoop, 30 to a 390g pouch, with "70+" ingredients and no exact count. Amounts are given for 11 vitamins and nine minerals, six other actives (fibre 2.5g, alpha lipoic acid 42mg, CoQ10 50mg, choline 20mg, inositol 100mg, rutin 20mg) and five bacterial strains totalling 10 billion CFU. The greens, fruits, mushrooms and herbs, including ashwagandha, eleuthero, reishi and shiitake, are named without amounts. There is no vitamin D or K in the pouch; AG1 sells D3+K2 separately to members. Vitamin C is 420mg (525% NRV) and B12 2000%, while vitamin A is 31%. Zinc is 10mg (100%); there is no iron or iodine. Soy lecithin is listed. AG1's UK pages name the Cologne List alongside Informed Sport or Informed Choice and say it is third-party tested for heavy metals and banned substances. The label says it is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for anyone under 18. AG1's product and supplement-facts pages would not let our tools read them in November, so four vitamin figures are missing from the table.
Huel Daily Greens
An 8.5g scoop, 30 servings, 91 ingredients stated. The nutrition table is on Huel's formula page rather than the product page: 13 vitamins and 13 minerals with amounts. Nine vitamins are at or above 100% RI, including vitamin D2 and D3 at 46μg (920%) and vitamin C at 425mg (531%); four are below, with biotin lowest at 15%. It is the only one of the three with iron (4.5mg) and iodine (35μg). Live cultures are Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856 at 25 million spores and Bifidobacterium bifidum at 125 million CFU. Everything else sits in two blends with no blend weight or per-ingredient amounts. Green tea, green coffee bean and mate extracts are listed, with no caffeine figure. Sweetened with steviol glycosides and coconut nectar, in Original and Watermelon. Allergens in bold are gluten-free wheat grass and oats; may contain mustard. Huel shows Vegan Society, Coeliac gluten-free and B Corp logos and names no testing programme. The formula page says it is not suitable during pregnancy, for nursing mothers or under 12s.
Verve Transparent Greens V80
V80 is the product we make. A 10g stick, 28 to a box as two packs of 14, with 80 ingredients stated and no blends. All 13 vitamins are at 100% NRV, including D3 (5μg) and K (75μg). Nine minerals: zinc at 100%, chromium 70%, selenium 20% and the other six at 15% to 16%. Live cultures are L. rhamnosus and B. bifidum, 4 billion CFU each. Botanicals carry an amount, and most extracts a ratio: ashwagandha 5:1 at 100mg (equivalent to 500mg), Panax ginseng 10:1 at 20mg. 11mg of caffeine from guarana. Stevia. Contains wheat grass and barley grass; may contain traces of hazelnut and walnut. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system, and vitamin B12 contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Made in the UK.
Where V80 is behind, plainly. One ingredient, bamboo extract, shows a dash instead of an amount on the product page table. It has fewer live cultures than AG1 (8 billion across two strains against 10 billion across five). It names no sport-testing programme, where AG1 names two. It has no iron or iodine, which Huel includes. Verve says every batch is independently tested for heavy metals; the product page does not say so. Gluten free by batch testing, with certificates on request from hello@vavaverve.com. Not recommended if you are pregnant or trying for a baby, because of its vitamin A. Price: £75 one-off (£2.68 a serving), £60 a month on subscription (£2.14), £120 every three months for 84 sticks (£1.43), or a 14-stick trial at £30 every 14 days (£2.14).
Who each suits
- AG1: anyone who wants the highest live culture count of the three and a sport-testing programme they can look up, and does not need vitamin D in the scoop or amounts for the greens and herbs.
- Huel Daily Greens: anyone who wants the longest ingredient list, a high vitamin D figure, and iron and iodine in a small 8.5g scoop, and is comfortable with blends that show no amounts.
- Verve V80: anyone who wants all 13 vitamins at 100% NRV, a figure next to nearly every ingredient and a caffeine number on the label, and can accept fewer live cultures and no named sport programme.
Others you will see named
This page compares three labels. Our AG1 alternatives UK comparison puts eight greens powders side by side, and our best greens powder UK comparison covers 12, including IM8, Innermost, Free Soul, Rheal, Bulk and Applied Nutrition. Huel also sells Daily Greens as a 330ml ready-to-drink; it is a different product and we have not checked its label here. AG1's Vitamin D3+K2 is a separate product, not part of the pouch, so it is not counted in the table.
How to compare greens powders
- Amounts, not ingredient counts. "70+", 91 and 80 tell you what is present, not how much. Count the ingredients that have a figure next to them.
- Vitamins, and at what % NRV. 100% and 920% are different doses. Check what is missing (AG1 has no D or K) and what sits well below 100% (AG1's vitamin A at 31%, Huel's biotin at 15%).
- Live cultures: strains and a count. A named strain with a CFU figure is a dose; "probiotics" on its own is not. Here the counts run from 150 million to 10 billion.
- Serving size. 8.5g, 10g and 13g are not the same scoop. Read the gram weight alongside servings per pack.
- Caffeine, allergens and the pregnancy line. Guarana, green tea, green coffee bean and mate carry caffeine; look for a figure. Check for wheat grass, oats, soy, mustard and nut traces, and read the pregnancy line: all three say no.
- Testing you can look up. Informed Sport, Informed Choice and the Cologne List publish their lists. "Rigorously tested" or "clinically tested" with no detail cannot be checked.
- Price the plan you will actually be on. One-off, monthly and quarterly plans differ, and so do pack sizes. Check each brand's site for today's price; we have not compared prices here.
AG1, Huel Daily Greens and V80: your questions
Is Huel Daily Greens the same as AG1?
No. They are the same kind of product, an all-in-one powder with vitamins, minerals, greens, mushrooms, herbs and live cultures, but the labels differ. Huel is an 8.5g scoop with 91 ingredients, vitamin D at 920% RI, iron, iodine and 150 million live cultures. AG1 is a 13g scoop with "70+" ingredients, no vitamin D, K, iron or iodine, and 10 billion CFU. Both give amounts for vitamins, minerals and cultures; neither gives amounts for its greens, fruit, mushrooms or herbs.
Which has the most vitamins at 100% NRV?
V80: all 13 at exactly 100% NRV. Huel lists all 13, with nine at or above 100% RI, from niacin at 119% to vitamin D at 920%, and four below (thiamine 21%, riboflavin 22%, biotin 15%, pantothenic acid 85%). AG1 lists 11, with no vitamin D or K; at least five are above 100% (vitamin C 525%, B12 2000%), while vitamin A is 31% and pantothenic acid 83%.
Which greens powders list every ingredient amount?
Of these three, V80 comes closest: no blends, and an amount for 79 of its 80 ingredients. On the product page table, bamboo extract shows a dash, and the stevia sweetener has no figure, as is usual for a sweetener. AG1 and Huel give amounts for their vitamins, minerals and live cultures, but not for their greens, fruit, mushrooms or herbs: AG1 names them in a list, Huel inside two blends with no blend weight.
Can you take greens powder when pregnant?
Not these three, going by their labels. AG1 says it is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for anyone under 18. Huel's formula page says it is not suitable during pregnancy or for nursing mothers. V80 contains vitamin A (800μg, as retinyl acetate) and says it is not recommended if you are pregnant or trying for a baby. The V80 label adds: if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have a medical condition, check with your doctor first.
Where can I buy each in the UK?
AG1 sells direct at drinkag1.com, and its UK site links a retailer finder without naming shops. Huel sells Daily Greens at uk.huel.com, and Boots lists the 255g bag. Verve Transparent Greens V80 is stocked by Boots, Holland & Barrett and Amazon UK, and sold direct at vavaverve.com: £75 one-off, £60 a month on subscription, £120 every three months for 84 sticks, or £30 for a 14-stick trial every 14 days.
How we checked
Label facts were read on each brand's own UK website on 5 and 6 November 2026: drinkag1.com/en-uk, uk.huel.com (the Daily Greens product page and Huel's formula page) and vavaverve.com. Boots.com was read only to confirm a Huel stockist. AG1's product and supplement-facts pages would not let our tools read them, so AG1's vitamin and mineral percentages are from our read of drinkag1.com/en-uk on 21 October 2026; the serving size, pouch, strains, certification wording and warnings were re-read on AG1's UK pages on 6 November. Where a page did not state something, we have written "Not stated" rather than guessing, and we have not repeated any brand's claims about what its powder does. Prices are deliberately not compared here: they change weekly and promotions distort them. Every brand's current price is on its own site. Verve makes Transparent Greens V80; the table is label facts, and our opinion is in the text.
