Updated October 2026. Label facts checked on 21 October 2026 on each brand's own UK website. Verve makes one of the products below (Transparent Greens V80), so read the table before you read our view.
AG1's UK label gives amounts for 20 vitamins and minerals and six other actives, but the greens, fruits, mushrooms and herbs are listed without amounts. There is no vitamin D or vitamin K in the pouch (AG1 sells D3+K2 drops separately). Most people looking for an alternative want one of four things: every dose on the label, a full set of vitamins in one scoop, a named certification, or a shorter or organic ingredient list. Here are the eight UK alternatives that come up most often, compared on what their labels actually say.
The short answer
- Every dose listed and all 13 vitamins at 100% NRV: Verve Transparent Greens V80, 80 ingredients, each with an amount, including vitamin D3 and vitamin K.
- Longest ingredient list (91): Huel Daily Greens, with Vegan Society, Coeliac UK gluten-free and B Corp certification. The blends are not broken down.
- All-in-one with 90 ingredients: IM8 Daily Ultimate Essentials Pro, which the brand positions as a replacement for 16 daily supplements.
- Formulated for women: Free Soul Greens, 21 greens and superfoods in a 5g scoop, with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners.
- Short organic ingredient list, no sweeteners: Rheal Clean Greens, eight certified organic ingredients.
- Informed Sport tested greens: Applied Nutrition Critical Greens, 17 greens extracts in a 5g scoop.
- Plain greens and nothing else: Bulk Complete Greens (unflavoured), eight greens and 2.3g of fibre a serving.
- Greens with named vitamins and minerals: Protein Works Super Greens 360, though the page does not show the amounts.

What AG1 gives you in the UK
The UK pouch is 390g for 30 servings of 13g. The label lists 20 vitamins and minerals with amounts and NRVs, including vitamin C at 420mg (525% NRV), vitamin B12 at 50μg (2000% NRV) and zinc at 10mg (100% NRV). Vitamin A is at 31% NRV. There is no vitamin D, vitamin K or iron. The other actives with amounts are fibre (2.5g), alpha lipoic acid (42mg), CoQ10 (50mg), choline (20mg), inositol (100mg), rutin (20mg) and five bacterial strains totalling 10 billion CFU. The greens, fruits, mushrooms and herbs appear in the ingredient list in descending order of weight but without individual amounts. It contains soy (lecithin). AG1 is certified by Informed Sport and the Cologne List and cites four placebo-controlled trials on earlier versions of the formula.
The alternatives in detail
Verve Transparent Greens V80
V80 is the product we make, and it exists because of the AG1 label. All 80 ingredients have an amount next to them. All 13 essential vitamins are at 100% NRV, including vitamin D3 (5μg) and vitamin K (75μg), which AG1 does not include. Nine minerals are included, with zinc at 100% NRV and the rest between 15% and 70%. There are 8 billion CFU of live cultures across two strains, and 11mg of caffeine per serving from guarana, about a tenth of a cup of coffee. One 10g stick or scoop a day in 250 to 300ml of cold water. It is vegan, sweetened with stevia, and contains wheat grass and barley grass; it may contain traces of hazelnut and walnut. V80 is clinically tested and every batch is independently tested for heavy metals.
Price: £75 for 28 sticks one-off (£2.68 a serving), £60 a month on subscription (£2.14), or £120 a quarter for three boxes (£1.43). A 30-serving pouch is also £75. Sold at vavaverve.com, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Amazon UK. The trade-off: it has fewer live cultures than AG1 (8 billion CFU across two strains, against 10 billion across five), and its page names no sport certification such as Informed Sport or the Cologne List, which AG1 and Applied Nutrition Critical Greens both carry. If you only want greens rather than a full vitamin profile, you are getting things you may not need.
Huel Daily Greens
Huel's greens powder lists 91 ingredients across a greens blend, a superfruit blend, a mushroom and adaptogen complex, a plant protein and superfood blend and a botanical blend. Per-ingredient amounts inside those blends are not published, so you cannot see how much spirulina or ashwagandha you are getting. It includes probiotics, green tea and green coffee bean (so some caffeine, amount not stated), and is 100% vegan and gluten-free, with Vegan Society, Coeliac UK and B Corp certification. A pack is 30 servings of 8.5g. Who it suits: anyone who wants an AG1-style formula with the longest ingredient list in the table and is comfortable with blends.
IM8 Daily Ultimate Essentials Pro
IM8, the brand co-founded with David Beckham, positions Daily Ultimate Essentials Pro as a replacement for 16 daily supplements, with 90 ingredients in one drink. A pack is 30 servings. We have not checked its label line by line, so the table leaves those columns open. Who it suits: anyone who wants a 90-ingredient all-in-one in a single drink.
Free Soul Greens
Free Soul Greens is a 5g-a-day blend of 21 greens and superfoods, including KSM-66 ashwagandha, spirulina, chlorella and golden kiwi, formulated for women. It is vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners. It is not a multivitamin: there are no added vitamins or minerals, no live cultures and no per-ingredient amounts on the product page. A pack is 30 servings. Also stocked by Holland & Barrett, Ocado and Waitrose. Who it suits: women who want a simple daily greens habit rather than a complete nutrient profile.
Rheal Clean Greens
Rheal keeps it short: eight certified organic ingredients (baobab, barley grass, chlorella, moringa, pineapple, wheatgrass, spirulina and acerola), no sweeteners, 5g a day. Nutrition is declared per 100g rather than per serving, so you have to do the maths: at 5g, the 455mg of vitamin C per 100g becomes about 23mg a serving, and the 31.9mg of iron per 100g becomes about 1.6mg. A pack is 30 servings, and a three-month supply is also sold. Who it suits: anyone who wants a clean, organic, whole-food greens powder and does not want 80 or 90 ingredients.
Bulk Complete Greens
Eight greens (spirulina, chlorella, broccoli, pumpkin protein, spinach, alfalfa, moringa and kale), 2.3g of fibre a serving, nothing else in the unflavoured version. A 500g bag gives about 55 servings of 9g. No vitamins, minerals, live cultures or adaptogens. Who it suits: anyone adding greens to an existing routine who already takes a multivitamin.
Applied Nutrition Critical Greens
Seventeen greens extracts in a 5g scoop, vegan, gluten-free and Informed Sport tested, from a UK brand whose range is stocked in Holland & Barrett. It comes in 150g (30 servings) and 250g (50 servings) sizes. The nutrition panel is published as an image, so individual amounts are not readable as text, and it contains green tea extract and celery. Who it suits: athletes who need batch-tested products and want plain greens.
Protein Works Super Greens 360
A 12g serving of 17 greens, superfoods, adaptogens, vitamins and minerals, with probiotics listed. Vitamins A, C, D, B6, B12, thiamine, iron, magnesium, zinc, calcium and manganese are named, but the page does not show amounts or NRVs, so you cannot tell how much of each you are getting. A 250g bag is 20 servings, and a 500g bag is also sold. Who it suits: anyone who wants vitamins and minerals named in a greens powder and is not worried about seeing the doses.
Others you will see named
Supergreen Tonik lists every dose and uses no proprietary blends, but it is priced in US dollars, made in the USA and not stocked by UK retailers. Amazing Grass and Bloom are US brands with limited UK retail presence. Lean Greens now sells Collagen Greens (about 33 servings), which combines greens with collagen peptides and creatine, so it is not vegan and is a different kind of product.
How to compare greens powders
- Doses, not ingredient counts. A long list tells you nothing about amounts. If the label does not give a figure per ingredient, you cannot compare it with the research or with another product.
- Vitamin coverage. Check which vitamins are present and at what % NRV. AG1 has no vitamin D; several plain greens powders have no added vitamins at all.
- Price the plan you will actually be on. We have not compared prices here; check each brand's site for today's price.
- Serving size. A 5g scoop and a 13g scoop are not the same product. Compare doses and servings per pack alongside the serving weight.
- Live cultures. Look for named strains and a CFU count. "Contains probiotics" with no number is not a dose.
- Caffeine and allergens. Green tea and guarana mean caffeine. Wheat grass and barley grass are the grass, not the grain, but matter if you avoid them. Check for soy, celery and nut traces.
- Testing. Informed Sport or Cologne List matters if you are a tested athlete. Batch testing for heavy metals matters for everyone taking a plant powder daily.
AG1 alternatives: your questions
Which AG1 alternatives contain live cultures?
Of the alternatives we checked, only Verve V80 states a strain count and CFU on the label: 8 billion CFU across two strains, against AG1's 10 billion across five. Huel Daily Greens and Protein Works Super Greens 360 list probiotics but do not state the strains or CFU on their product pages. Free Soul, Rheal, Bulk and Applied Nutrition state no live cultures, and we have not checked IM8's label for them.
Which greens powder lists every ingredient dose?
Of the products sold in the UK in this comparison, Verve Transparent Greens V80 gives an amount for all 80 ingredients. AG1 and Huel give amounts for their vitamins and minerals but not for the ingredients inside their blends. Supergreen Tonik also lists every dose but is a US product priced in dollars.
Does AG1 contain vitamin D?
No. The UK AG1 pouch contains no vitamin D or vitamin K. AG1 sells Vitamin D3+K2 drops separately. Verve V80 includes vitamin D3 at 5μg (100% NRV) and vitamin K at 75μg (100% NRV) in the powder.
Is Huel Daily Greens a good AG1 alternative?
If you want the same style of formula, it is the closest in the table: 91 ingredients across vitamins, minerals, greens, superfoods and adaptogens. The trade-off is the same as AG1's: the greens, fruit, mushroom and botanical ingredients sit in blends without individual amounts. The UK product page also does not state vitamin D or the probiotic strains and CFU. It carries Vegan Society, Coeliac UK gluten-free and B Corp certification.
Does AG1 list every ingredient dose?
No. The UK label gives amounts for 20 vitamins and minerals and six other actives: fibre (2.5g), alpha lipoic acid (42mg), CoQ10 (50mg), choline (20mg), inositol (100mg) and rutin (20mg), plus 10 billion CFU across five bacterial strains. The greens, fruits, mushrooms and herbs appear in descending order of weight but without individual amounts.
Where can I buy Verve V80?
At vavaverve.com, where the subscription is the lowest price, and at Boots, Holland & Barrett and Amazon UK. For a full head-to-head on the two labels, read Verve V80 vs AG1.
How we checked
Every label fact above was taken from the brand's own UK website on 21 October 2026: drinkag1.com/en-uk, vavaverve.com, uk.huel.com, im8health.com, freesoul.com, rhealsuperfoods.com, bulk.com/uk, appliednutrition.uk and theproteinworks.com. Where a brand publishes its nutrition panel only as an image, we have said so rather than guessing. Prices are deliberately not compared here: they change weekly and promotions distort them. Every brand's current price is on its own site. Verve makes Transparent Greens V80; we have tried to keep the table to facts you can verify on each label and to keep our opinion to the text.
