Updated November 2026. Label facts checked on 6 November 2026 on each brand's own UK website. Verve makes one of the products below (Pure Hydra Electrolytes), so read the table before you read our view.
LMNT's label gives 1,000mg of sodium, 200mg of potassium and 60mg of magnesium (as malate) per stick, with no sugar, as the label states. The flavoured sticks use stevia leaf extract; Raw Unflavored has no sweetener. LMNT's own site prices in US dollars and ships its drink mix to the US and Canada, and Healf stocks it in the UK. Nine UK-sold sachets and sticks come up as alternatives, and their labels differ from LMNT's in four ways: sodium (324mg to 1,080mg), potassium (150mg to 400mg), magnesium (56mg to 150mg, as malate, citrate, bisglycinate or carbonate) and sweetener (none, stevia, or a mix with glucose). Four state Informed Sport certification. Electrolytes are minerals that carry an electric charge in water; on these labels that means sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium and chloride. The only health claims here are the authorised GB wordings for magnesium and potassium, used only where a product gives at least 15% of the reference intake.
The short answer
- Most magnesium and most potassium, at half LMNT's sodium: Verve Pure Hydra Electrolytes, 150mg magnesium (40% NRV) and 400mg potassium (20%) with 500mg sodium. 6.7g stick, 14 to a box, 0.2g sugar, stevia.
- Closest sodium to LMNT, Informed Sport certified: Puresport Ultra Electrolytes (1,000mg, 30 sachets) and Styrkr SLT+ (1,080mg, 7.5g sachet, 30 to a box). Both give more magnesium than LMNT, as citrate.
- LMNT's sodium, potassium and magnesium form: REPOWR Daily Electrolytes, 1,000mg sodium, 200mg potassium and 100mg magnesium as malate. RAW Unflavoured has no stevia or flavour.
- No sweetener at all: Hunter & Gather Restore Unflavoured (750mg sodium, three ingredients), Protein Rebel Sustain (500mg, four ingredients) and REPOWR RAW (1,000mg).
- Lowest sodium: Bulk Electrolyte Sachets, 324mg, with 112mg magnesium, 3.4g glucose and three sweeteners; SiS HYDRO+ sticks, 350mg, Informed Sport.
- Smallest pack to try: REPOWR's 8-sachet taster (single sachets are also listed) and Protein Rebel's single stick or 14-stick box.

What the nine labels say
Only three of the nine match or pass LMNT's 1,000mg of sodium: Styrkr at 1,080mg, Puresport and REPOWR at 1,000mg; the rest run from 750mg down to 324mg. Seven of the nine give at least LMNT's 200mg of potassium, and Verve gives the most at 400mg. On magnesium, seven give LMNT's 60mg or more, up to Verve's 150mg; Humantra Tropical (57.25mg) is just over the 56.25mg that is 15% of the reference intake and SiS (56mg) just under it. Only REPOWR uses malate, LMNT's form. Five use citrate, Verve adds bisglycinate, Bulk uses carbonate, and SiS and Humantra do not name the form. Three can be had with no sweetener; Bulk uses three plus glucose. Styrkr, Puresport, Humantra and SiS state Informed Sport; the rest name no body. UK labels use reference intakes of 2,000mg for potassium and 375mg for magnesium. Where a product gives at least 15% (300mg and 56.25mg), the authorised wordings apply: "Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance", "Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function" and "Potassium contributes to normal muscle function". By our maths that is magnesium in eight of the nine (not SiS) and potassium in Verve, SiS and Bulk.
The products in detail
Verve Pure Hydra Electrolytes
Pure Hydra is the product we make. One 6.7g stick gives 500mg of sodium as citrate plus 100mg of chloride, half LMNT's sodium; 400mg of potassium as citrate (20% NRV), twice LMNT's; and 150mg of magnesium as citrate and bisglycinate (40% NRV), the most here. Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance. Potassium contributes to normal muscle function. It adds 100mg of vitamin C, 200mg of taurine and 300mg of coconut water powder. Sugars 0.2g, 12kcal, salt 1.25g; stevia. Each stick contains 500mg of sodium: if you are on a low-sodium diet or blood-pressure medication, check with your doctor before using it regularly. The gaps: no testing body named, no unsweetened version. £22.99 for 14 (£1.64 a stick) or £18.39 a month on subscription (£1.31). Who it suits: anyone who wants more potassium and magnesium than LMNT, at half its sodium.
Puresport Ultra Electrolytes
Puresport publishes its own LMNT comparison page, and on sodium the two match: 1,000mg as sodium chloride per sachet. The rest of the label is 250mg of potassium as chloride, 100mg of magnesium as citrate and 50mg of calcium (the page gives two different forms for it), with malic acid, stevia and natural flavouring. Sugar free, with no gram figure and no sachet weight. Informed Sport certified and made in the UK. Thirty sachets to a box; for everyday use the brand suggests starting with half a sachet. Who it suits: anyone who wants LMNT's sodium with Informed Sport certification and more magnesium.
Styrkr SLT+
The only product here with more sodium than LMNT: 1,080mg as sodium chloride in a 7.5g sachet, or 2.8g of salt. It adds 280mg of potassium as chloride, 120mg of magnesium as citrate and 60mg of calcium as malate. Sugars 0g, 10kcal, seven ingredients, sweetened with steviol glycosides. Styrkr says every batch is tested and certified by Informed Sport. Thirty sachets a box, in Orange and Berry & Lime; the page gives no mixing volume. Who it suits: tested athletes who want at least LMNT's sodium, twice its magnesium and a short ingredients list.
REPOWR Daily Electrolytes
The label closest to LMNT's. Every sachet has 1,000mg of sodium from Oryx Desert Salt, 200mg of potassium as chloride and 100mg of magnesium as malate, LMNT's form. Flavoured sachets add sodium citrate, calcium carbonate, citric acid, flavour and a small amount of stevia; RAW Unflavoured has none of those. "No sugar, no calories", with no gram figures in the text and no sachet weight. One sachet in 750ml. No testing or certification is named. The page says it is not recommended if you have hypertension, kidney disease or take diuretic medication. Sold as single sachets, an 8-sachet taster and boxes of up to 40. Who it suits: anyone who wants LMNT's numbers and magnesium form, with the option of no sweetener.
Hunter & Gather Restore Unflavoured
Three ingredients: pink Himalayan rock salt, marine magnesium citrate and potassium chloride. A 3.8g sachet gives 750mg of sodium (1.9g of salt), 150mg of potassium and 80mg of magnesium (21% NRV), with 0g sugars and 1kcal. No sweetener of any kind and no flavouring. The page marks it third-party tested, with no body named; the company is a B Corp. Thirty sachets a pack, one in 250 to 750ml of water. Who it suits: anyone who likes LMNT Raw Unflavored and wants a UK sachet with no sweetener, at three-quarters of the sodium and the least potassium here.
Protein Rebel Sustain
Four ingredients: coconut water powder, sea salt, marine magnesium citrate and marine algae calcium. A 5.4g stick gives 500mg of sodium (1.2g of salt), 600mg of chloride, 200mg of potassium from the coconut water (10% NRV), 60mg of magnesium (16% NRV) and 60mg of calcium. Sugars 0g, 0kcal, no sweetener, no flavouring, vegan, made in Cheshire. No testing body is named. Sold as a single stick, or boxes of 14 or 28. Who it suits: anyone who wants LMNT's potassium and magnesium at half the sodium, with nothing sweet in it and a small box to try.
Humantra Tropical
Humantra's core flavours print their nutrition panels as images, so the figures here are from Tropical, a limited edition that gives them in text: 500mg of sodium, 180mg of potassium and 57.25mg of magnesium a sachet, forms not stated. The brand calls it its highest-sodium formulation, so the core flavours sit lower. Zero sugar with no gram figure, 5 to 10kcal, stevia leaf extract, coloured with carrot. Informed Sport certified. Twenty sachets a box, one in 500 to 1,000ml of water. Who it suits: anyone who wants a certified 500mg sachet, and will read the box for the core flavours.
SiS HYDRO+ Electrolyte Drink Mix
A single-serve stick, described as 4.3g with a 4.1g serving. Each gives 350mg of sodium, 750mg of chloride, 300mg of potassium (15% of the reference intake, our maths), 56mg of magnesium and 120mg of calcium, with 80mg of vitamin C, 0.42mg of vitamin B6 and 0.75μg of vitamin B12. Forms, sugar, sweetener and the ingredients list are not in the page text, and the pack size is not stated. All SiS products are certified under the Informed Sport programme. One stick in 500ml of cold water. Who it suits: anyone who wants about a third of LMNT's sodium, more potassium and a certified stick.
Bulk Electrolyte Sachets
An 11g sachet, 30 to a box, in Blackcurrant and Orange, one in 250 to 500ml of water. The table gives 324mg of sodium, 300mg of potassium as chloride (15%), 112mg of magnesium as carbonate (30%) and 121mg of calcium as carbonate (15%), plus 3.4g of glucose. Energy, sugars and salt are not in the table. It is sweetened with isomalt, xylitol and steviol glycosides, and also lists leucine, silicon dioxide, beetroot juice powder and beta carotene. The page says excessive consumption may produce a laxative effect. No certification is named. Who it suits: anyone who wants a lower-sodium sachet with some glucose and does not mind three sweeteners.
Others you will see named
Free Soul Hydrate (30 x 7g sachets, magnesium malate, stevia, 15kcal) gave no milligram figures for sodium, potassium or magnesium in its page text when we read it, so it is left out rather than guessed at. Artah Cellular Hydration is a pouch, not a single-serve sachet, and close to the opposite of LMNT: 40mg of sodium and 525mg of potassium a 7g scoop. Phizz is an effervescent tablet that lists glucose and sucralose, with no mineral amounts in the text. Precision Fuel & Hydration's PH 1500 page showed us a US storefront and no sodium, sugar or ingredient figures; our sugar-free comparison found 15g of sugar per 20g sachet on UK retailer listings. Myprotein THE Electro sticks would not show our tools their nutrition or ingredients panel; the same comparison found sucralose and acesulfame K on the label reproduced by Tesco. Innermost and other daily powders are in our sugar-free electrolyte powder comparison.
How to compare LMNT alternatives
- Sodium first, in milligrams. LMNT is 1,000mg, or 2.5g of salt. The nine run from 324mg to 1,080mg. Convert to salt (sodium x 2.5) if anyone in the house watches salt; the UK guideline maximum is 6g a day for adults.
- Then the sodium to potassium ratio. LMNT, REPOWR and Hunter & Gather are 5:1, Puresport 4:1, Styrkr about 3.9:1, Humantra Tropical about 2.8:1, Protein Rebel 2.5:1, Verve 1.25:1, SiS about 1.2:1 and Bulk about 1.1:1.
- Magnesium dose and form. 56mg (SiS) to 150mg (Verve). LMNT and REPOWR use malate, most others citrate, Verve citrate and bisglycinate, Bulk carbonate. 56.25mg is 15% of the reference intake, the line for a magnesium claim. Our magnesium citrate guide covers the forms.
- Per what, and is it in the text? SiS gives a 4.3g sachet and a 4.1g serving. Puresport suggests half a sachet for everyday use. Humantra's core panels and REPOWR's table are images, and LMNT points to its product images for the full panel.
- Read the sweetener line, not the badge. No sweetener: Hunter & Gather Unflavoured, Protein Rebel, REPOWR RAW and LMNT Raw Unflavored. Stevia: most of the rest. Bulk adds isomalt, xylitol and 3.4g of glucose.
- Certification if you are tested. Styrkr, Puresport, Humantra and SiS state Informed Sport. "Third-party tested" with no named body is a statement, not a certificate.
- Price the plan you will actually be on. One-off, monthly and multi-box plans differ by brand, as do first-order discounts. Check each brand's site for today's price; we have not compared prices here.
LMNT alternatives: your questions
What is the closest UK alternative to LMNT?
On the label, REPOWR Daily Electrolytes: 1,000mg of sodium and 200mg of potassium, as LMNT, with 100mg of magnesium as malate, LMNT's form. Puresport Ultra Electrolytes (1,000mg) and Styrkr SLT+ (1,080mg) match or pass LMNT's sodium with more magnesium and Informed Sport certification. For less sodium and more potassium and magnesium, Verve Pure Hydra gives 500mg, 400mg and 150mg.
Can you buy LMNT in the UK?
LMNT's own site prices in US dollars and says it ships its drink mix to the US and Canada, while it tests "a few select distribution partners" in the UK and Australia. Healf, a UK retailer, lists LMNT in pounds. Its listing names steviol glycosides as the sweetener and says the natural flavourings contain maltodextrin.
Which LMNT alternatives have no sweetener?
Hunter & Gather Restore Unflavoured (750mg sodium; salt, magnesium citrate and potassium chloride only), Protein Rebel Sustain (500mg; coconut water powder, sea salt, magnesium and calcium) and REPOWR RAW Unflavoured (1,000mg). Verve Pure Hydra, Puresport, Styrkr, Humantra and flavoured REPOWR use stevia.
Which UK electrolyte sachets are Informed Sport certified?
Of the nine, Styrkr SLT+, Puresport Ultra Electrolytes, Humantra and SiS HYDRO+ state Informed Sport certification on their pages. Hunter & Gather says third-party tested without naming a body. Verve, REPOWR, Protein Rebel and Bulk name no testing body or certification on the pages we read. LMNT's page text gave no testing statement.
What is in Verve Pure Hydra Electrolytes?
Per 6.7g stick: sodium 500mg (as citrate) plus 100mg chloride, potassium 400mg (as citrate, 20% NRV), magnesium 150mg (as citrate and bisglycinate, 40% NRV), vitamin C 100mg (125% NRV), taurine 200mg, coconut water powder 300mg and BioPerine 10mg (9.5mg piperine), with citric acid, natural lemon flavouring, strawberry flavouring and steviol glycosides. Sugars 0.2g, 12kcal, salt 1.25g. No artificial sweeteners or colours. Contains coconut.
Where can I buy electrolyte sachets in the UK?
All nine brands sell direct from their own websites, and Holland & Barrett lists a 20-pack of Verve Pure Hydra. LMNT is listed by Healf. Verve Pure Hydra Electrolytes is £22.99 for 14 sticks or £18.39 a month on subscription at vavaverve.com.
How we checked
Every label fact above was taken from the brand's own website on 6 November 2026: vavaverve.com, puresport.co, styrkr.com, getrepowr.co.uk, hunterandgatherfoods.com, proteinrebel.com, humantra.co.uk, scienceinsport.com and bulk.com/uk, using product data feeds where a page gave too little. LMNT's label is from drinklmnt.com, read on 5 and 6 November, with Healf.com read as its UK stockist on 5 November. We also read freesoul.com, artah.co, phizz.co, precisionhydration.com and myprotein.com for the products outside the table; the PH 1500 sugar figure and the Myprotein sweeteners come from our earlier sugar-free comparison, which used retailer listings. Where a page did not state a figure we have written "Not stated" rather than guessing, our own calculations are flagged, and we have not repeated any brand's claims about what its product does. Prices are deliberately not compared here: they change weekly and promotions distort them. Every brand's current price is on its own site. Verve makes Pure Hydra Electrolytes; the table is label facts, our opinion is in the text.
