Updated November 2026. Label facts checked on 5 November 2026 on each brand's own UK website. Verve makes one of the products below (PQQ 40mg Capsules), so read the table before you read our view.
Six brands sell single-ingredient PQQ to UK buyers from their own websites, four of them saying they are UK-based, and their labels differ in four ways that matter more than the front of the pack: the dose per serving (20mg or 40mg, in one or two capsules), whether the label names PQQ or its disodium salt, whether a purity figure or a lab result is on the page, and what else is in the capsule. Two of the six state a purity figure. Two show lab results on the page, one shows a certificate summary, Verve supplies the certificate on request, and two show none. None of the six adds CoQ10. PQQ is pyrroloquinoline quinone, a quinone compound found in small amounts in foods such as kiwi fruit and natto, sold in supplements as a disodium salt; that is the chemistry, and this article makes no claim beyond it. Here are the six PQQ products that come up most often for UK buyers, compared on their labels.
The short answer
- 40mg a serving as two 20mg capsules, PQQ and a plant capsule only, certificate on request: Verve PQQ 40mg Capsules, 60 capsules, 30 servings. Tested every batch; the purity figure is on the certificate, available on request. No storage line on the page.
- Purity figure stated and lab results shown on the page: Vitality Pro PQQ (95.2% for batch 2600565, September 2026, Eurofins and Microtech Wessex named; 60 x 20mg capsules; fridge storage) and Sunday Natural PQQ 20mg (over 99.0%, test images linked; 30 capsules).
- Branded form of PQQ named on the label: Sunday Natural, the only label that names MGCPQQ pyrroloquinoline quinone disodium salt. Vitality Supplements names the disodium salt without a brand.
- One 20mg capsule a day, 30-day pack to start: Charava PQQ 20mg, hypromellose shell only, UK-made, 60 and 90-day packs also sold. No purity figure or certificate on the page.
- Softgel rather than a capsule, test summary on the page: Vitality Supplements PQQ 20mg, two softgels a serving, 60 softgels, ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory named, certificate summary table shown.
- 40mg in one capsule with the least on the page: Welzo Ultra Purity PQQ 40mg. No capsule count, serving, directions, shell material, purity figure or certificate on the page.
Best PQQ supplement UK: the comparison table
Every column is a label fact taken from the product page. "Not stated" means the page does not give it. Prices are left out on purpose; each brand's current price is on its own site, and the reason is in "How we checked".

What the six labels say
Every product here is PQQ on its own; the CoQ10 combinations sold in the UK are overseas brands (see "Others you will see named"). Three labels are 20mg in one capsule, Verve's is 40mg as two 20mg capsules, Vitality Supplements' is 20mg as two softgels, and Welzo's is 40mg in one capsule. Two labels name the disodium salt (Sunday Natural, Vitality Supplements), four say only PQQ, and no page gives a "salt providing PQQ" figure. Two of the six state a purity figure, and they are far apart: Vitality Pro at 95.2% for its current batch, Sunday Natural at over 99.0%. Vitality Pro and Sunday Natural show lab results on the page, Vitality Supplements a certificate summary, Verve supplies the certificate on request, Charava and Welzo show none. Two capsules list only a shell (Verve, Charava), two add rice bran or gum arabic (Vitality Pro, Sunday Natural), Welzo does not name its shell, and Vitality Supplements is a softgel. One brand says fridge, two say a cool, dry place, three say nothing. No UK brand we found sells PQQ as a powder.
The products in detail
Verve PQQ 40mg Capsules
Verve PQQ is the product we make. The label is two lines: 40mg of pyrroloquinoline quinone per two-capsule serving, as two 20mg capsules, in a plant cellulose shell. Sixty capsules, 30 servings, two capsules once a day with water. Every batch is tested for purity, and the certificate of analysis for your batch, with the purity figure on it, is available on request from hello@vavaverve.com. The gaps: no storage line (three competitors give one), and the certificate, with the purity figure, is on request rather than shown on the page (three competitors show results). £25.99 one-off (87p a serving), £19.49 a month (65p) or £52.70 a quarter for three packs (59p). Who it suits: anyone who wants 40mg a day with every figure on the label and nothing else in the capsule.
Charava PQQ 20mg
One 20mg capsule a day, sold as 30, 60 and 90-day packs; the page gives the pack in days rather than as a capsule count. Ingredients are PQQ and a hypromellose (HPMC) capsule, and the page says free from artificial colours, flavours, preservatives, gluten, soy and GMOs. The label names PQQ, not the salt. The testing wording is "meticulous testing throughout the manufacturing process" and a "Third-Party Tested for Purity" badge; no purity figure, laboratory name or certificate is on the page. No storage advice. Manufactured in GMP-certified UK facilities and packed in an amber glass bottle. Charava also writes the UK buyer's guide that ranks first for this question, and that guide names only its own product. Who it suits: anyone who wants one 20mg capsule a day and a 30-day pack to start with.
Vitality Pro PQQ
Sixty capsules of 20mg, labelled "take 1-2 capsules daily", so 30 to 60 servings. Other ingredients are rice bran and a vegetable cellulose (HPMC) capsule. This is the most documented page in the table. The current batch (2600565, September 2026) is stated at 95.2% purity and the previous one at 94.3%; every batch is independently tested for identity, potency, contaminants, heavy metals and microbial markers; the laboratories are named (Eurofins and Microtech Wessex); and the results are shown as images on the page. Storage is a refrigerator, away from light. Made in the UK at facilities in Oxford and the North of England by a company that says it is ISO 9001 certified. Who it suits: anyone who wants to read the batch figure and the lab's name before buying, and does not mind rice bran in the capsule.
Welzo Ultra Purity PQQ 40mg
Labelled "each capsule delivers 40mg of pure PQQ", the only single-capsule 40mg here. The page says the product contains a single active ingredient with no additives, fillers or artificial excipients, that every batch undergoes third-party testing, and that each batch is independently analysed by accredited laboratories. It does not give a capsule count, a serving, directions, the shell material, a purity percentage, a laboratory name, a certificate or any storage advice; "Ultra Purity" is the range name, not a figure. Sold as one, two or three bottles. The product page does not say where the brand is based; the store is a GB storefront priced in pounds. Who it suits: anyone who wants 40mg in one capsule and will read the physical label for what the page leaves out.
Vitality Supplements PQQ 20mg
Sixty vegetarian softgels in a pouch, two a serving, 30 servings. The supplement facts line reads "PQQ (pyrroloquinoline quinone disodium salt) 20mg" per serving; the page does not say whether that is the salt or the PQQ it provides, and gives no per-softgel figure. The softgel shell is modified starch, glycerol, carrageenan and purified water. Testing is at an independent ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory, and the page shows a certificate of analysis summary (reference VIT-PQQ-60) with identity, PQQ content, heavy metals and microbial safety each marked as passed, though no certificate is linked. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Manufactured in the United Kingdom to GMP standards. The page title says capsules; the text says softgels. Who it suits: anyone who prefers a softgel and wants a test summary on the page.
Sunday Natural PQQ 20mg
The one brand here that does not say it is UK-based: Sunday Natural sells from a UK website and says its production is in-house in Europe. Thirty capsules of 20mg, one a day before a meal. It is the only label to name a branded form, MGCPQQ pyrroloquinoline quinone disodium salt, and it states "active ingredient purity of over 99.0%". Other ingredients are gum arabic as a bulking agent and an HPMC shell. Testing is by independent laboratories, with test images for the active ingredient, heavy metals and microbiology linked on the page; none is named as a certificate of analysis. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and heat. Who it suits: anyone who wants the form of PQQ named on the label, a purity figure on the page and a 30-day pack.
Others you will see named
Troo Health Care and Nutraharmony appear in search results with a PQQ product, and The Finchley Clinic's PQQ is sold through the retailer Raw Living, but none of their own websites would let our tools read the page, so they are left out rather than guessed at. Osavi, a Polish brand, comes up often through UK retailers, but its own site would not render for us. NI Supplements lists an "Engineered Muscle PQQ" with no dose per capsule or ingredients list, sold out when we checked. Fitimins is Amazon-only; its website is a holding page. Longevity Box has a PQQ information page but no product, and we found none at Youth & Earth, Time Health, DoNotAge, Kiki Health or NMN Bio. Life Extension, Jarrow Formulas, Doctor's Best, Double Wood, Nutricost, ProHealth Longevity, Seeking Health and Pure Encapsulations are North American brands stocked by UK retailers such as Healf and Welzo; we have not checked them on a brand UK page. Several products pair PQQ with coenzyme Q10 rather than selling it alone: Natroceutics CoQ10 + PQQ Advanced, Pure Encapsulations CoQ10-SR with PQQ, Life Extension Super Ubiquinol CoQ10 with BioPQQ and Jarrow Ubiquinol QH+ PQQ; none is PQQ alone.
How to compare PQQ supplements
- Dose per serving, then per capsule. Verve's 40mg is two 20mg capsules; Welzo's 40mg is one capsule with no serving stated; Vitality Supplements' 20mg is two softgels; Charava, Vitality Pro and Sunday Natural put 20mg in one capsule.
- Salt or PQQ? Sunday Natural and Vitality Supplements name the disodium salt; the other four say PQQ. No page gives both the salt weight and the PQQ it provides, so "disodium salt 20mg" does not tell you which figure that is.
- Servings, not capsule count. Sixty at two a day is 30 servings (Verve, Vitality Supplements); at one or two a day it is 30 to 60 (Vitality Pro). Charava sells by days, Welzo gives no count.
- Is a purity figure stated? Two of six: Vitality Pro (95.2% for the current batch) and Sunday Natural (over 99.0%). Verve's figure is on the certificate, available on request. Charava, Welzo and Vitality Supplements give none.
- Is a certificate or lab result available, and how? Vitality Pro and Sunday Natural show results on the page. Vitality Supplements shows a summary table but links no document. Verve supplies the certificate on request. Charava and Welzo describe testing but show nothing.
- What else is in the capsule. A shell alone (Verve, Charava), a shell plus rice bran or gum arabic (Vitality Pro, Sunday Natural), a four-part softgel shell (Vitality Supplements), or not named (Welzo). HPMC, hypromellose and plant cellulose are the same family.
- Storage. One brand says fridge (Vitality Pro), two say a cool, dry place (Sunday Natural, Vitality Supplements), three say nothing (Verve, Charava, Welzo).
- Price the plan you will actually be on. One-off, monthly and multi-bottle plans differ. Check each brand's site for today's price; we have not compared prices in this article.
PQQ supplements: your questions
How much PQQ per day do UK brands put in a serving?
A labelled serving is 20mg or 40mg. Charava, Vitality Pro and Sunday Natural label 20mg as one capsule; Vitality Supplements labels 20mg as two softgels; Verve labels 40mg as two 20mg capsules; Welzo labels 40mg in one capsule and gives no serving. Vitality Pro's directions allow one or two capsules. This is what the labels say, not a recommendation.
Which UK PQQ products publish a certificate of analysis or lab report?
Vitality Pro shows its batch results on the page as images, with the purity figure (95.2% for batch 2600565) and the two laboratories named. Sunday Natural links test images for the active ingredient, heavy metals and microbiology. Vitality Supplements shows a certificate summary table (reference VIT-PQQ-60) but does not link the document. Verve supplies the certificate of analysis for your batch on request from hello@vavaverve.com. Charava and Welzo describe third-party testing but show no certificate.
What does "PQQ disodium salt" on a label mean?
Pyrroloquinoline quinone is made for supplements as a disodium salt, its water-soluble form. Some labels name it (Sunday Natural, as the branded MGCPQQ; Vitality Supplements) and some say only PQQ (Verve, Charava, Vitality Pro, Welzo). A label that names the salt and gives one figure does not say whether that is the weight of the salt or the PQQ it provides, and none of the six pages gives both. That is a label-reading point; this article makes no claim about either form.
Does Verve PQQ contain anything other than PQQ?
No. The label lists pyrroloquinoline quinone, 40mg per two-capsule serving, and a plant cellulose capsule shell: no rice bran, no bulking agent, no blend and no CoQ10. Every batch is tested for purity and the certificate of analysis for your batch, with the purity figure on it, is available on request from hello@vavaverve.com. The purity figure is on the batch certificate rather than the page, and the page gives no storage advice.
Is PQQ the same as CoQ10?
No. Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone, or ubiquinol in its reduced form) is a different molecule from pyrroloquinoline quinone. They are often sold together: Natroceutics CoQ10 + PQQ Advanced, Pure Encapsulations CoQ10-SR with PQQ, Life Extension Super Ubiquinol CoQ10 with BioPQQ and Jarrow Ubiquinol QH+ PQQ are combination products stocked by UK retailers. None of the six in the table contains CoQ10. That describes what is sold; this article makes no claim about either compound.
Where can I buy PQQ in the UK?
All six brands sell direct from their own websites; Sunday Natural's is a UK storefront for a brand that produces in Europe. Verve as a brand is also sold at Boots, Holland & Barrett and Amazon UK; we have not checked the PQQ listing at each. Verve PQQ 40mg Capsules is £25.99 one-off, £19.49 a month or £52.70 a quarter for three packs at vavaverve.com.
How we checked
Every label fact above was taken from the brand's own website on 5 November 2026: vavaverve.com, charava.co.uk, vitality-pro.com, welzo.com, vitality-supplements.co.uk and sunday-natural.co.uk, using the store's product data feed where a page would not render in full. Where a page did not state a figure we have written "Not stated" rather than guessing, and we have not repeated any brand's claims about what PQQ does. Prices are deliberately not compared here: they change weekly and promotions distort them. Every brand's current price is on its own site. Verve makes PQQ 40mg Capsules; the table is label facts, our opinion is in the text.
