Dosages
33Fuel seems to have made a conscious effort to include a range of greens that are known for their nutrient profiles.
However, when it comes to the actual vitamin content, there seems to be some room for improvement:
Vitamin Dosages:
- Vitamin A: 0.3mg
- Vitamin E: 0.2mg
- Vitamin B12: 1µg
- Vitamin B6: 0.1mg
- Vitamin B1: 40µg
- Vitamin B2: 0.1mg
- Vitamin B3: 0.5mg
- Vitamin C: 6.8mg
- Folic Acid: 22µg
The dosages of these vitamins appear to be on the lower side, especially when compared to recommended daily values.
It's worth noting that with such levels, one might question the impact these will have, particularly if your diet lacks these nutrients to begin with.
Plus, it also misses out some vitamins entirely, for example Vitamin D and Vitamin K.
Lack of Adaptogens
In comparison to competitors like Verve V80, 33Fuel's formula does not include adaptogens like Ashwagandha. Adaptogens are ingredients known for helping the body to combat stress and can play a significant role in overall wellness.
Many greens powders including Verve V80 contain these which are a nice addition, so it’s slightly disappointing that 33Fuel doesn’t.
Transparency
While 33Fuel does share their vitamin dosages, they also use proprietary blends for their ingredients. This means that beyond the vitamins, we don’t know the specific amounts of each green or vegetable included. This lack of complete transparency might be a concern for those who want to know exactly what they are consuming in each scoop.
Benefits
The brand mainly claims to “Alkalise your body for optimal health & immune function.”
However, with the underdosing of vitamins, the effectiveness of these benefits comes into question unless your diet is already near perfect. The additional boost provided by the powder might be too minimal to make a significant difference for those whose diets are lacking.
