Updated November 2026. Label facts checked on 5 November 2026 on each brand's own UK website. Verve makes one of the products below (Apigenin 100mg Capsules), so read the table before you read our view.
Eight UK brands sell apigenin as capsules or tablets, and their labels differ in four ways that matter more than the front of the pack: the dose per capsule (50mg, 100mg or 250mg), the plant it is extracted from and how strong that extract is (a celery or grapefruit extract standardised to 98% is a different label from 500mg of parsley extract at 20%), whether a purity figure and a certificate of analysis are given, and what else is in the capsule or tablet. Four of the eight state a purity figure on the page. Two link a purity certificate; one supplies it on request; the rest show a testing line or nothing. Apigenin is a flavone, a class of flavonoid, found in chamomile, parsley and celery; that is the chemistry, and this article makes no claim beyond it. Here are the eight UK apigenin products that come up most often, compared on their labels.
The short answer
- 100mg a capsule, apigenin and a plant capsule only, one in the evening: Verve Apigenin 100mg Capsules, 30 capsules, 30 servings. Every batch tested for purity; the certificate, with the figure, on request.
- Purity certificate linked on the page: Longevity Box Pure Apigenin (100mg, 90 servings, over 99%, certificate from July 2023 by Campden BRI) and Vitality Pro Apigenin (100mg from grapefruit peel, a certificate per batch, latest January 2026).
- Highest dose per capsule: DoNotAge Pure Apigenin, 250mg a capsule, 500mg stated daily serving, 60 or 366 capsules. Page in US dollars, no ingredients listed.
- 50mg capsules with the extract strength stated: Welzo Ultra Purity Apigenin (celery extract at 98%, HPMC capsule, 60 to 180 capsules) and Time Health Apigenin (grapefruit, 98% or more, pullulan capsule, 120 capsules).
- Source plant and extract weight both on the label: Naturecan Apigenin Supplement, 500mg of parsley herb extract at 20% giving 100mg, 60 servings.
- Smallest pack to try, and the only tablet: Verve (30 capsules) and Peak Supps Apigenin 50mg Tablets (30-tablet size; also 90, 180 and 360).
- UK manufacture stated: Verve, Vitality Pro (Oxford and the North of England) and Peak Supps (in-house in Wales).
Best apigenin supplement UK: the comparison table
Every column is a label fact taken from the product page. "Not stated" means the page does not give it. Prices are left out on purpose; each brand's current price is on its own site, and the reason is in "How we checked".

What the eight labels say
Four of the eight put 100mg in a capsule (Verve, Longevity Box, Vitality Pro, Naturecan), three put 50mg (Welzo, Time Health, Peak Supps) and DoNotAge puts 250mg with a 500mg daily serving. Five name the plant: celery (Welzo), grapefruit (Time Health, Vitality Pro), parsley (Naturecan) and bitter orange (Peak Supps); Verve, Longevity Box and DoNotAge do not. Four state a purity figure on the page, from 97% to over 99%: Welzo's and Time Health's describe the extract, Longevity Box says every batch exceeds 99%, and Vitality Pro alone publishes a figure per batch. Verve puts the figure on the batch certificate, supplied on request. Naturecan, Peak Supps and DoNotAge give none. Two link a purity certificate (Longevity Box, Vitality Pro), Time Health links a heavy-metal report, Naturecan carries a certificates link, and Welzo, Peak Supps and DoNotAge show none. Four capsules list only a shell; Time Health adds alfalfa, Vitality Pro adds rice flour, Peak Supps' tablet has four excipients, and DoNotAge lists nothing. Two brands give storage advice; six, including Verve, say nothing.
The products in detail
Verve Apigenin 100mg Capsules
Verve Apigenin is the product we make. The label is one line: apigenin, 100mg per capsule, in a plant cellulose shell. Thirty capsules, one a day with water, in the evening. Every batch is independently tested for purity, and the certificate for your batch, with the figure on it, is available on request from hello@vavaverve.com. The gaps: no source plant named (five competitors name theirs), no storage line (two give one), the certificate on request rather than linked (two link one). Like Vitality Pro and Peak Supps, the capsules are made in the UK. £19.99 one-off (67p a capsule), £15.99 a month (53p) or £43.20 a quarter for three packs (48p). Who it suits: anyone who wants 100mg of apigenin itself, nothing else in the capsule, and a 30-day pack to start with.
Longevity Box Pure Apigenin
The web address says powder, but the directions and ingredients describe a capsule: 100mg of apigenin in a vegetable cellulose (HPMC) shell, one a day with something containing fat, 90 servings. The brand says every batch exceeds 99% purity and is independently tested in the UK, and it is one of two products here with a purity certificate linked on the page: an image rather than a PDF, from Campden BRI, dated 31 July 2023, with no batch number. Storage is a cool, dry, airtight, dark place. The company is registered in Poole; the source plant and country of manufacture are not stated. Who it suits: anyone who wants a 100mg capsule, three months in one pack and a certificate they can look at before buying.
Vitality Pro Apigenin
The most complete testing page in the table. Each capsule is 100mg of apigenin from grapefruit peel, with organic brown rice flour and an HPMC shell. Ninety capsules, with a 180 option. Directions are one to three capsules 20 to 30 minutes before bed. Every batch is tested by Certified Labs and the certificates are linked per batch as images: January 2026 shows 100% purity, July 2025 shows 97%, with heavy metals, microbiology and glyphosate for the current batch. Storage is a cool, dry place at 20 to 25°C away from light. The brand calls itself an ISO 9001 certified UK company and makes the product in Oxford and the North of England. Who it suits: anyone who wants to read the figure for their own batch and a named source plant.
Naturecan Apigenin Supplement
The only label here built on a stated extract weight: 500mg of parsley herb extract standardised to 20% apigenin, giving 100mg per capsule, in a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose shell. Sixty servings, one a day with food and water, 30 to 60 minutes before bed. The page says third-party tested for purity and potency and carries a link labelled Certificates of Analysis, which we did not open. No purity figure is given for the finished capsule. One oddity: its table lists a 50mg maximum intake next to a 100mg recommended intake. No storage advice. Naturecan Ltd is in Stockport; the product is made in Europe. Who it suits: anyone who wants the extract weight and standardisation on the label as well as the apigenin figure.
Welzo Ultra Purity Apigenin
Welzo's own-brand apigenin, in 60, 120 and 180 capsule sizes. Each capsule is 50mg of apigenin from a celery extract standardised to 98%, in a plant-derived HPMC capsule, with "zero artificial fillers, binders, gluten, soy, or unnecessary anti-caking agents". The product page would not render for our tools, so these facts come from the store's own product data feed, and that feed gives no directions, no testing statement, no certificate, no full ingredients panel and no storage advice. Welzo describes itself as a UK based healthcare marketplace. Who it suits: anyone who wants a 50mg capsule with the extract standardisation stated and a choice of three pack sizes.
Time Health Apigenin
Fifty milligrams of apigenin derived from grapefruit, standardised to 98% or more, 120 capsules, one a day, with a line saying 30 to 60 minutes before bed. The capsule holds alfalfa as well as the apigenin, in a pullulan shell made from tapioca, and the page says no synthetic bulking or anti-caking agents. Testing is a "Third Party Test Report" section with one linked PDF, a heavy metal analysis; there is no purity certificate and no certificate of analysis wording. Manufactured to GMP standards; the country is not stated. The business address is in Uckfield. No storage advice. Who it suits: anyone who wants a 50mg capsule, four months in one bottle and a heavy-metal report they can open.
Peak Supps Apigenin 50mg Tablets
The only tablet in the table, and the only product besides Verve sold in a 30-count pack; 90, 180 and 360 are also sold. Each tablet is 50mg of apigenin, one a day, 30 minutes before bed. The source is bitter orange (Citrus aurantium) in the description and chamomile in the page's meta text, so read the physical label. The ingredient list is the longest here: microcrystalline cellulose and dicalcium phosphate as bulking agents, apigenin, then magnesium stearate and silica as anti-caking agents. No purity figure, no product-level testing statement and no certificate; the company holds SALSA accreditation and makes its products in-house in Wales. No storage advice. Who it suits: anyone who prefers a tablet, wants a UK-made product and will accept excipients on the label.
DoNotAge Pure Apigenin
The highest dose per capsule: 250mg, with a recommended daily serving of 500mg, in bottles of 60 or 366. The page says third-party tested batch by batch and made to GMP and ISO 9001 standards, but links no certificate, lists no ingredients, names no source plant, gives no purity figure and no storage advice. Its own site showed us US dollar pricing. Healf, a UK retailer, lists the product, though that page would not load for us. Who it suits: anyone who wants 500mg a day in two capsules and will check the physical label for what the page leaves out.
Others you will see named
The Health Project sells a 200mg apigenin capsule, stated as 99% pure and UK manufactured, but we found it only on a retailer's site with no brand page to read, so it is left out rather than guessed at. Nice Supplement Co lists a 300mg capsule from a Citrus aurantium extract at 98%, also only at a retailer, and sold out when we checked. Swanson, Double Wood, Toniiq, Momentous, Nootropics Depot, Pure Vitamins, Renue by Science and Codeage are US brands, several resold by UK sites (Eco Natural Products resells Swanson); we have not checked them on a brand page. Osavi is Polish and Phytoceutics South African, both seen at UK resellers. Holland & Barrett lists an "Apigenin 100mg, 30 servings" whose brand we could not identify from the page. Youth & Earth and Charava sell no apigenin.
How to compare apigenin supplements
- Apigenin figure or extract weight? "100mg" can mean 100mg of apigenin (Verve, Longevity Box, Vitality Pro) or 100mg from 500mg of a 20% extract (Naturecan).
- Dose per capsule, then the directions. Capsules here are 50mg, 100mg or 250mg. DoNotAge labels 500mg a day; Vitality Pro's directions run from one to three capsules; Verve, Longevity Box, Naturecan, Time Health and Peak Supps are one a day; Welzo gives no directions.
- Servings, not capsule count. Thirty at one a day is 30 days (Verve, Peak Supps' smallest pack). Sixty 250mg capsules at 500mg a day is 30 days too.
- Is the purity figure the extract or the batch? Welzo's 98% and Time Health's 98%+ describe the extract. Longevity Box's "over 99%" is a batch claim with a 2023 certificate behind it. Vitality Pro publishes the figure per batch. Verve's is on the certificate you ask for. Naturecan, Peak Supps and DoNotAge give none.
- Is a certificate of analysis available, and how? Longevity Box and Vitality Pro link one. Verve supplies one on request. Time Health links a heavy-metal report, not a purity certificate. Naturecan has a certificates link. Welzo, Peak Supps and DoNotAge show none.
- What else is in the capsule. HPMC, hypromellose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and plant cellulose are the same family of shell. Check what follows it: alfalfa (Time Health), rice flour (Vitality Pro), four tablet excipients (Peak Supps), or nothing listed (DoNotAge).
- Price the plan you will actually be on. One-off, monthly and quarterly plans differ, and pack sizes run from 30 to 366. Check each brand's site for today's price; we have not compared prices in this article.
Apigenin supplements: your questions
How much apigenin per capsule do UK brands put in?
Three amounts appear on UK labels: 50mg (Welzo, Time Health, Peak Supps), 100mg (Verve, Longevity Box, Vitality Pro, Naturecan) and 250mg (DoNotAge, which labels 500mg a day as the serving). Five of the eight label one capsule or tablet a day; Vitality Pro's directions say one to three, DoNotAge's serving is two capsules, and Welzo's page gives no directions. This is what the labels say, not a recommendation.
Which UK apigenin products publish a certificate of analysis?
Two link one on the product page: Longevity Box, a purity certificate image from Campden BRI dated July 2023, and Vitality Pro, a certificate for each batch with that batch's purity figure. Verve supplies the certificate for your batch on request from hello@vavaverve.com. Time Health links a heavy-metal analysis but no purity certificate. Naturecan carries a link labelled Certificates of Analysis, which we did not open. Welzo, Peak Supps and DoNotAge show none.
Chamomile, celery, parsley or grapefruit - what does the source plant tell you on the label?
Only which plant the apigenin was extracted from, and sometimes how strong the extract is. Welzo states celery extract at 98%, Time Health grapefruit at 98% or more, Vitality Pro grapefruit peel, Naturecan parsley herb extract at 20%, Peak Supps bitter orange. Verve, Longevity Box and DoNotAge state the apigenin figure without naming a plant. The label difference is whether you are reading a compound figure or an extract weight.
Capsules or tablets - what is the difference on the label?
Seven of the eight are capsules, and a capsule label is usually the apigenin plus a shell, with at most one more line (alfalfa, rice flour). Peak Supps is the one tablet, and a tablet needs binders and flow agents to hold together, so its list runs to four excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, dicalcium phosphate, magnesium stearate and silica.
Does Verve's apigenin contain anything other than apigenin?
No. The label lists apigenin, 100mg per capsule, and a plant cellulose capsule shell: no extract carrier, no rice flour, no anti-caking agent, no blend. Every batch is independently tested for purity, and the certificate of analysis with the purity figure is available on request from hello@vavaverve.com. The page does not name the source plant, which five competitors do, and gives no storage line. If you take sedative medication or medication metabolised by the liver, or react to chamomile or plants in the daisy family, speak to a healthcare professional before use.
Where can I buy apigenin in the UK?
All eight brands sell direct from their own websites; DoNotAge is also listed by Healf, a UK retailer. Verve as a brand is also sold at Boots, Holland & Barrett and Amazon UK; we have not checked the apigenin listing at each. Verve Apigenin 100mg Capsules is £19.99 one-off, £15.99 a month or £43.20 a quarter for three packs at vavaverve.com.
How we checked
Every label fact above was taken from the brand's own website on 5 November 2026: vavaverve.com, longevitybox.co.uk, vitality-pro.com, uk.naturecan.com, welzo.com, timehealth.co.uk, peaksupps.co.uk and donotage.org, using the store's own product data feed where a page would not render (Welzo). Where a page did not state a figure we have written "Not stated" rather than guessing, and we have not repeated any brand's claims about what apigenin does. Prices are deliberately not compared here: they change weekly and promotions distort them. Every brand's current price is on its own site. Verve makes Apigenin 100mg Capsules; the table is label facts, our view is in the text.
